Workshops and Intensives

We are often approached from couples who are time poor or at an acute stage of relationship distress who are wanting to do concentrated work on their relationship.

We offer both relationship workshops and relationship counselling intensives to couples who are time poor or who are looking for focused help on their relationship. Sometimes attending weekly relationship counselling is hard to fit in to busy lives, or isn’t available near where you live. Sometimes an hour or two a week doesn’t feel like it can even touch the surface of what you’re going through together. In those cases, intensives or workshops are good options.

Relationship Counselling Intensives

Relationship Counselling Intensives are really just concentrated relationship counselling. You, your partner and therapist work on your issues for an extended period of time – usually 1 or 2 days.

Whilst it is an intense process, for many couples the opportunity to talk about the complexities of their lives and issues over an extended period of time, instead of opening things up and then finding it’s the end of the session, proves to be very beneficial. For other couples, the intensive format mightn’t be appropriate. To read more about your situation and to try and discern if this kind of counselling would be appropriate

Relationship Workshops

Workshops are run for groups of couples, lecture-style. You are presented with all sorts of educational material about couple issues and problems, watch interesting clips of other couples talking about their issues or Hollywood movie clips, and then you are given time to work through exercises in private, as a couple, if you wish. There is no sharing of private or personal issues with the group!

The light-heartedness of being with others and the lower level of intensity, suits some couples more than intensive counselling weekends. Covering all the major relationship issues, some of which will be obvious to you, but some of which you will be a revelation, this workshop is run internationally with high accolades and proven success to improve relationships.
