Fiona holds a Diploma in Counselling and began her career at Family Services, where she developed a passion for supporting couples experiencing relationship distress. She quickly recognised how relationship pain impacts not only couples but also family members.

With over ten years of experience working with individuals, couples, and families, Fiona has gained extensive knowledge and insight into the complexities of relationships.

Fiona is committed to ongoing professional development, enhancing her work as an Advanced Emotionally Focused Couple and Individual Therapist. She has also trained in Gottman Therapy, Circle of Security (an attachment-focused model for parents and families), PACT (Psychobiological Approach to Couples Therapy), Internal Family Systems Therapy, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy.

Known for her warmth and empathy, Fiona creates a safe, non-judgemental environment in which clients feel immediately at ease. This supportive atmosphere is essential for the deep, transformative work that occurs in therapy.

Fiona firmly believes that the strength of the bond between partners significantly impacts various aspects of their lives, fostering emotional stability and supporting individual mental health. When couples share a strong, supportive connection, they provide each other with emotional support, reducing stress and enhancing overall happiness and wellbeing.
