Gail Palmer is a pioneering force in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), having worked closely with Sue Johnson to develop its principles and practices. As a co-founder of the Ottawa Couple and Family Institute and Co-Director of the International Centre for Excellence in EFT (ICEEFT), she brings over 20 years of global experience training and certifying EFT practitioners. Known for her compassionate and insightful approach, Gail has worked extensively with couples and families, and her interest in family dynamics led her to adapt EFT for family therapy. She’s also co-authored Becoming an Emotionally Focused Couple Therapist: The Workbook and teaches marriage and family therapy at Carleton University, St. Paul’s University, and as a seasonal lecturer at Oxford University, England.
Janine Moran, Clinical Director of You, Me and Us Relationship Centre, is a dedicated relationship therapist and accredited mediator with advanced EFT certification as a practitioner, supervisor and trainer in training. With warmth and insight, she helps couples explore personal triggers, navigate challenges, deepen bonds, and build connection, and supervises clinicians who are learning the evidence-based EFT model. Alongside expertise in trauma, neurodiversity, and modalities like the Gottman Method and Somatic Therapy, Janine’s commitment to raising therapy standards drives her work across Australia.
