She also holds a Diploma in Contemplative Psychotherapy from the Royal University of Bhutan. Her training includes Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy (EFCT – Externship and Core Skills) and Level II Emotionally Focused Family Therapy (EFFT), and she draws from a rich toolbox of approaches, including Internal Family Systems (IFS), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Narrative Therapy, and mindfulness-based practices.
Known for her genuine, respectful, and compassionate style, Kuenga takes the time to build strong relationships with her clients. She’s attuned to each person’s needs, hesitations, and hopes—and works collaboratively toward outcomes that feel right for them.
In her most recent role at a leading relationship-focused organisation, Kuenga has supported children, young people, couples, and families through grief and loss, trauma, parenting after separation, and the ongoing complexities of relationship distress. She’s also worked closely with children adjusting to life after their parents’ separation, offering guidance and support to both children and their caregivers.
Kuenga is passionate about early intervention and prevention, particularly for children and young people. She’s facilitated evidence-based programs including Cool Kids, Cool Little Kids, and Tuning Into Teens, as well as group programs such as Women’s Choice and Change and Building Better Relationships. She’s also deeply committed to helping families navigate the emotional impact of food allergies, including the anxiety and stress that can often accompany them.
With more than twelve years of experience working across the lifespan, Kuenga understands that life can be complex and layered. Whether you’re reaching out for yourself, your relationship, or your child, she’s here to help you get to the heart of what’s not working. Together, you’ll move forward with clarity, connection, and care.
All sessions are 75 minutes and conducted in a safe, confidential, and supportive environment — either in person or online via Zoom.
